Phuket now has 19 Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants

What it means for you
You can eat award-listed food here for the price of a sandwich at home — but bring cash, and if you eat halal, check the halal guide instead.
The 2026 Michelin Guide Thailand lists 20 Phuket restaurants: one star and 19 Bib Gourmand. That is more Bib Gourmand entries than any Thai province except Bangkok.
Bib Gourmand is the value award — good cooking at a fair price, roughly under 1,000 baht a head. Nine of the Phuket entries are Southern Thai, the island's own cooking.
Two details worth knowing before you set out. 13 of the 19 are cash only. And by Michelin's own filters, exactly one of the 19 records halal options.
Most Bib Gourmand restaurants do not take bookings. The way in is to arrive at opening time, or to avoid weekends.
