Saudia is flying direct to Phuket again
What it means for you
Eleven hours, no connection, three times a week from both Riyadh and Jeddah — and for now you still land on a 60-day stamp.
Saudia has restarted non-stop flights between Saudi Arabia and Phuket. Both routes run three times a week: Riyadh to Phuket, and Jeddah to Phuket. The Jeddah service restarted on 5 August 2026.
This is the route's second season rather than a trial. Saudia first flew it in December 2024 with Boeing 787-9s, ran it three times weekly on each leg through February 2025, and has now brought it back — which reads as steady demand rather than a one-off.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand counted 209,929 Saudi visitors to Thailand between January and November 2024, up 28 percent year on year, and more than three quarters of them were first-time visitors.
Saudia has not published day-by-day departure times for the relaunch yet, and the non-stop fares were not yet appearing in some flight searches at the start of August. Check Saudia directly rather than an aggregator until that settles.
On the visa: Saudi passport holders still get 60 days visa-free on arrival today. The cut to 30 days was approved on 19 May 2026 but has not been published in the Royal Gazette, so it is not in force. Re-check close to your travel date.
